What we collect

• Account data: username, email address and a hashed password. Passwords are stored using bcrypt and are never readable by us.
• Content: anything you upload, plus titles, descriptions, tags and comments you write.
• Activity: likes, follows and reports you submit.
• Technical data: your IP address and an approximate location (country, and where available region and city) derived from it, recorded at sign-up and at each sign-in. Server access logs record requests and are rotated automatically.
• Preferences: whether you have confirmed you are 18 or older, and your Safe Mode setting.

Why we use it

Location data

Approximate location is derived locally from your IP address using an offline database. Your IP address is not sent to any third-party geolocation service for this purpose.

Account data is kept while your account exists. Backups of the database are retained on a rolling basis and are overwritten in turn.
